O webináři:
In order to develop the competencies of practitioners, exchange examples of good practices in the field of career guidance and counselling in secondary education, as well as develop further opportunities for cooperation, the national Euroguidance centers from Serbia and the Czech Republic are organizing a joint online event entitled "Career guidance and counseling in secondary school".
During the event, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about examples of good practice that career practitioners in Serbia and the Czech Republic have developed in working with secondary school students. They will also be able to discuss in small groups about the activities, services and tools that they have developed themselves, the challenges they face, as well as the ways for overcoming challenges in everyday work in the field of CGC in a secondary school.
The event is held in English on the Microsoft Teams platform on 7 December 2023, from 3 to 5 PM (CET). All participants interested in this event can register via this link, no later than 6 December 2023, until 12 PM. Participants are expected to actively participate in English during small group discussions.

I have been involved in career counselling since 2010. For the last 5 years I have been focusing on the development of career education in primary and secondary schools, both by working directly with students and by training teachers (school career counsellors) across the Czech Republic.

Through the topic of finances and salaries in the labour market, we lead students to deeper discussions beyond the area of self-esteem. The concept of the online workshop used various applications and activities, some of which will be introduced in the paper.

Presentation title: Safe Arrival Methodology: How to prevent school failure and risk of dropouts in secondary education
The input will present Safe Arrival Methodology which is a set of activities that provides school teachers and counsellors with knowledge and tools for prevention and intervention in cases of school failure and the risk of dropping out of school. The methodology consists of two parts: The first part helps with detecting dropout risks in pupils . The second part then offers concrete examples of prevention and intervention measures that schools can implement to benefit identified pupils at risk. In the presentation, the participants will be introduced to a number of practical tools that can be implemented into their daily practise.
